Arthur F. Maas Sr. founded Maas Hansen Steel Company in 1929, later joined by his stepson, Charles P. Hansen. In 1950, the steel service center changed its name to Maas-Hansen Steel Corporation and moved to its current location in Vernon, California.
In 2015, the company was acquired by Triple S Steel based in Houston, Texas. While still operating with the name Maas-Hansen Steel, we’re now able to serve customers and source steel outside our typical region through the national presence of Triple S Steel.
